Newly leaked screenshots today claim to offer a look at several potential iPhone 12 Pro Max features. Taking to Twitter, leaker Sonny Dickson has shared more alleged details on the rumored upcoming Siri speaker. Introducing some new concepts not previously shared, Dickson believes that the speaker could see its debut at this year’s WWDC. According to a supposed insider at Apple, Dickson was told that Apple is currently working on finalizing the designs that will become the Siri speaker. Dickson wrote that it is “expected to be marketed as a Siri/AirPlay device,” and that it would “carry some form of Beats technology....

Up until recently, Thunderbolt 2 docks could mostly be described as “seen one, seen them all.” I’ve continued to like the idea of docks that fuse Thunderbolt 2, USB 3.0, and other peripherals together in a single Thunderbolt-to-Mac connection, but the docks I’ve seen from Belkin, Elgato, and Kanex are so similar in looks and features that they’d be hard to tell apart in a lineup. CalDigit’s dock looked very different from the rest, but functioned almost exactly the same....

I reviewed the Brydge Keyboard for the iPad Air/Air 2 back in March. At the time, I found it hard to choose between this and the ClamCase Pro, and for a while switched between them. I first read about RockMelt in my newspaper. No, not in an RSS feed–in my dead tree version of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, via an AP story announcing “Internet pioneer backs new way to surf.” The fact that I read about a new way to surf in the old media raised a flag for me. Midway director Roland Emmerich agrees with Martin Scorsese’s controversial take on Marvel movies. The internet has of course been on fire ever since the legendary Scorsese, director of classics like Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, offered up his opinion of Marvel movies and their dominant position in the current movie landscape. It all started back in early October when Scorsese, speaking to Empire magazine about his latest film The Irishman, slammed Marvel movies and claimed they aren’t real “cinema” but are more like the movie version of theme parks....

Interesting note from a Wired UK story on Rovio: The company was almost in bankruptcy prior to releasing their Angry Birds app in the App Store. They had been making meager earnings selling apps through the mobile carriers and for other companies. Banking (quite literally) on the success of its popular Angry Birds game, the folks at Rovio have released yet another game on the App Store. This morning, the crew has released Bad Piggies for 99 cents. The game reminds us of Angry Birds; it is described as “the ultimate flying/crawling/rolling/spinning/crashing device and pilot the pigs safely to the eggs” by the app development firm. Rovio listed the features: 60 levels crammed with flying/driving/crashing fun!...
