Elgato Eve Motion is a standalone motion detection sensor that’s compatible with Apple’s HomeKit feature. Eve Motion can be used as a sensor in iOS 10’s Home app to trigger scenes and control accessories. When added to Apple’s Home app, Eve Motion ($49) appears just like other HomeKit motion sensors. You can see when sensors are armed and ready, when sensors are activated by motion, and check values like battery level and charging status....

As announced last month, the Eve Flare is now available to buy in the US, and I’ve been testing one for the last week or so. It’s a spherically shaped multicolor mood light that illuminates in either shades of white or most RGB colors. You can control it with Siri through HomeKit, which of course means you get the fun of shouting colors at your HomePod to change the lighting in the room....

Microsoft has been rumored to be working on a smartwatch for quite some time, but today’s report corroborates some information that was previously assumed, and adds a few details that we haven’t yet heard....

The latest Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker featurette teases a return of the Ewok, Wicket W. Warrick. The adorable character is best know for aiding the Rebellion’s battle against the Empire in Return of The Jedi. He was played by a young Warrick Davis in 1983; his prospective inclusion adds another layer of nostalgia to the trip Disney has been on promoting Star Wars’ latest epic. Over the course of the last week, Disney has released one clip (“they fly now”), handful of TV spots, and special looks/featurettes exploring all things quintessentially Star Wars....

Luke Perry, star of Beverly Hills, 90210 and The CW’s Riverdale, has passed away at the age of 52. Perry was taken into hospital on February 28 following a stroke, and despite the best of efforts of medical staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, California to help him recover, the damage caused was too great. Born in Ohio in 1966, Perry was known to those who grew up in the 1990s for his role as Dylan McKay in teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210....

Artist and creator Rob Liefeld took to social media to reveal the return of one of his oldest characters - Prophet. In a Facebook post, Liefeld explained the character will return in a special 50th issue “loaded with goodies.” Liefeld was also enthusiastic about the character’s appearance outside of comic books, having read the outline for the Prophet’s upcoming feature film debut. John Prophet first appeared in Youngblood #2 in 1992....

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro “feels pretty horrible” about domestic violence and kidnapping arrest, according to a source. The reality star would just like to concentrate on getting his life back on the right track. Ronnie and girlfriend Jen Harley have called it quits multiple times since their first meeting in 2017. Most recently they broke up in early September but got back together within two weeks. Both have had a history of turning on one another with Harley physically assaulting him with her car and now Ronnie allegedly running after her with a knife....

According to a leak on Weibo, Apple is preparing to launch a new third generation of Apple Pencil, seemingly as part of its April “Spring Loaded” event. The Weibo account, UnclePan, has been pretty accurate in the past. The third-generation Apple Pencil was supposedly revealed in a photo shared to Twitter last month. However, the accessory was hard to tell apart from the previous gen aside from the fact the casing appeared to use a glossy rather than matte finish....

Max Weinbach’s latest reporting as featured in EverythingApplePro’s video indicates that the iPhone 12 will feature a high refresh-rate 120Hz ProMotion display. Or at least, only on the iPhone 12 Pro phones: that’s the high-end 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models. The phone will dynamically switch between 60Hz and 120Hz modes to conserve battery life where appropriate. This is similar to the ProMotion system available in the iPad Pro for a few years now....

According to the rumors, Apple could announce the new iMac as soon as this week, but without a redesigned chassis. The first rumor suggests that Apple could announce its new Intel-powered iMac as soon as this week. Rumors earlier this summer suggested that we could see a new iMac at WWDC 2020, but that didn’t come to fruition....
