I don’t envy any vendor of legitimately premium audio accessories made for Apple’s devices. After established audio companies including Bose, Klipsch, and Bowers & Wilkins demonstrated that Apple device owners were willing to pay $300, then $400, then $600 for all-in-one speaker systems with increasingly better sound quality, Beats by Dre materialized, hooking people on expensive, stylish, and sonically underwhelming alternatives. Between Beats and the Bluetooth revolution, it seems clear that the speaker market is all about flash and convenience rather than audio quality… right?...

Paramount hires David Bowers to direct the upcoming live-action Rugrats film. The franchise revival was announced last July, and its release was recently pushed to January 29, 2021. Most recently, Bowers directed the last three Diary of a Wimpy Kid films. Created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain, the original Rugrats television series premiered on Nickelodeon in 1991. Centered on a one-year-old child named Tommy Pickles and his lively pals, the animated series aired 172 episodes over 9 seasons through 2004....

The yet-to-be-released iPad Air 4 was only given a head nod during today’s iPhone 12 event, with no mention of an official release date by Apple leadership. However, Jon Prosser, who has a pretty good track record when it comes to leaking Apple hardware release dates, indicates that he’s 100% sure that iPad Air preorders will begin on October 16th, launching a week later on the 23rd. If Prosser’s prediction comes true, this would mean that the iPad Air would be available for preorder at the same time as the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro....

I’ve been curious about the 21:9 display format since it started to creep into mainstream displays last year.
