Rockstar and UKIE, a non-profit video game trade association in the UK, have responded to recent tax report scrutiny indicating that the developer/publisher has claimed lots of money in tax relief. The report suggested that Rockstar took the tax relief as part of their effort to get Grand Theft Auto 6 ready for launch. The UK has a specific tax release program for video game developers. It’s called Video Games Tax Relief and was meant largely for smaller developers....

Apple could switch its NAND flash provider for the upcoming MacBook Airs expected around July 14 (which is the same release date for Lion as well), Japanese blog Macotakara.jp reported today. The report quotes unnamed parts makers in Asia who claim the Cupertino firm will adopt the latest NAND flash chips manufactured on a 19-nanometer process and soldered directly onto the motherboard. The current Air lineup uses an mSATA connector to connect SSD storage to the motherboard (only the RAM chips are being soldered directly onto the board)....

Since making its debut, The CW’s Riverdale has quickly become one of the most beloved teen dramas currently on television. The show’s darker twist on classic Archie Comics characters actually worked out surprisingly well, earning the show its own devoted following of fans. While some of the drama is still very over the top, its elements like that that give the show its flare. This news has been confirmed this morning in a short statement from the Canadian network operator. Ted Rogers, company President and CEO issued a statement to the following effect: “We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can’t tell you any more about it now, but stay tuned.” Rogers Telecom has been in the frame for an iPhone launch for some time, with industry observers noting the network to be the only one with the GSM/EDGE infrastructure required to support the device in that country....
