Despite a healthy showing over the extended Christmas weekend, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker still trails The Last Jedi at the box office. Four years ago, I wondered why Apple sold such seemingly simple plastic docks for $29, so I cut two of them in half to see what was inside. I was impressed: in addition to a larger-than-expected collection of electronic components, they were filled with substantial zinc plates that kept Apple’s devices standing safely upright, no easy feat since the docks kept shrinking every year. The only problem: most (but not all) of Apple’s docks have been model-specific and case-unfriendly, issues that were particularly pronounced in the official iPhone 5s Dock and iPhone 5c Dock....

As a very dark adaptation of the classic Archie Comics and characters, the CW’s Riverdale has actually received a lot of praise. Despite a drastic departure from the source material, Riverdale has garnered a lot of success, as well as a very large following of fans. Furthermore, certain core elements of each character remain, no matter how significant other changes may be. An impressive new deepfake video features an unexpected scenario: Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. starring in Back to the Future. The 1985 film is a beloved classic in the movie world, starring a young Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. In it, the two travel 30 years back in time, leading to some awkward situations when Fox’s character, Marty McFly, meets his parents. Meanwhile, Lloyd’s character, Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown, is responsible for building the DeLorean that lets them do it....

Robert Pattinson still doesn’t think Batman is a superhero. The former Twilight-star-turned-Gotham-leading-man made waves in October when he commented on how the character, who he will be playing in 2021’s The Batman, and his moral complexity disqualify Batman from being a full-blown superhero.
