Fans of the RHONJ have compared Jennifer Aydin to Veruca Salt after her over the top pizza party tantrum that she threw in the Hamptons. The other women sat silently as Jennifer raged about how she threw the biggest parties.
The Turkish housewife has not been on the show very long, but the rookie is already causing massive tidal waves with her impressions of co-star Jackie Goldschneider and drunk truths that spilled out of her after a shot or two of tequila. The 42-year-old has become quite close with Teresa Giudice, who at times is made to look like a villain, and some would say that Aydin has even started acting a little too much like her. The outspoken housewife is married to plastic surgeon Dr. Bill Aydin and the two share five children together.
On the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Aydin could not help herself when it came to asking her on-again-off-again friend, Goldschneider, just how much money she has, including if she knew any good stock tips. The reality star’s persistence in asking about monetary value now has landed her the nickname Veruca Salt thanks to her fellow cast member Melissa Gorga. The rest of the housewives understood that when it comes to having a nice, calm dinner, one does not mention religion, politics and money. As Countess Luann de Lesseps would say, it is uncool. It was safe to say Aydin was obsessed with the notion that Goldschneider had any kind of wealth and not wanting to flaunt it.
All the women were in the Hamptons, enjoying a long weekend away from their children when Aydin started to hurl insults, saying that Goldschneider was “cheap” for serving pizza at her children’s birthday party. Aydin continued to badger the RHONJ as she asked if she made more than her husband and if she owned any more properties. Gorga tried to defuse the situation by saying that Goldschneider was thinking of the long-term game with her money and her children will be set for life, while most of the other women like to spend their money on a lavish lifestyle. The Turkish housewife misinterpreted Gorga and quickly turned her sharp words on her, which included throwing a butter knife in Gorga’s direction.
The episode ended after the cutlery was thrown but not before fans watched as Gorga stepped to Aydin with Dolores Catania holding her back. Fans are still feeling out whether they like Aydin, as she has been the root cause of many issues thus far. The reality star enjoys stirring the pot and then walking away. Viewers will have to tune in next week to see if she will be able to walk away from her current predicament.
