Roxio this week released two new versions of its popular Toast app for managing media on the Mac. Toast 14 Titanium and Toast 14 Pro are out now and include a list of new features for handling media on the desktop and bringing it with you on mobile devices…
With Toast 14 Titanium, the software is gaining a new importer assistant for capturing and enhancing audio from sources like tapes and streams for adding to iTunes, a new DVD creator with templates similar to Apple’s long-discontinued iDVD app, and support for creating media formatted for the iPad, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus screen resolutions. Here’s what’s new for Titanium:
- New! Toast Audio Assistant: Import audio from almost anywhere-LPs, tapes, microphone sound, or streamed-then edit, enhance and add it to your music library or burn to CD. Clean up and enhance recordings with audio filters. Capture music to iTunes automatically.
- New! Toast MyDVD video burning software: Turn your videos into professional-looking multimedia disc projects, complete with stylish menus and music. Burn to DVD and AVCHD in a few simple steps. Get polished results with themed templates and easily combine multiple movies on one disc.
- New! Support for new mobile devices: Enjoy your digital media on favorite devices with support for iPad, iPhone 6/6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6 and more.
Toast 14 Pro users get those same new features plus what Roxio describes as “6 digital media must-haves worth over $300” that include Corel® AfterShot™ 2, FaceFilter3 Standard, HDR Express 3, FotoMagico 4.5 RE, iZotope Music & Speech Cleaner, and BD Plug-in for Toast 14 and MyDVD.
Both versions are available now as digital downloads with Toast 14 Titanium at $99 and Toast 14 Pro at $149. For physical disc holdouts, Roxio says it plans to launch Toast 14 Titanium in select retail stores next month.
